A few weeks ago, I had the privilege to travel to Lisbon where several of us from the SOJC made an experiential magazine in under two weeks. Our time was spent traversing the city as well as other areas in Lisbon while we told the stories hidden behind its painted walls. I personally wrote about a painter nestled within the Aflama district, who not only painted with red wine and coffee, but created his own music and sculptures. I was also honored to be personally chosen by my peers to co-edit the magazine alongside my co-editor Eden Ross. I know that in those two short weeks we both learned countlessly, not only in leading but as artists ourselves. I'd like to thank Ed Madison, Ph.D. for giving me the opportunity to join this years trip, as well as our design lead Jenna Lyons, our photo editors Rachel Peterson and Eli Ruderman, and our video editor Isaac Alvarado.
